Winterizing Your Swimming Pool

When it’s time to close up your pool for winter, you can ensure you have a great, easy pool opening in the summer by following some basic plumbing maintenance tips. It seems easy to just rinse, cover and forget. But a few minutes of work in the fall will save you alot of money and work in the spring. The first thing to consider is current problems. If you are having issues with water balance, algie growth, etc, you need to correct those problems now. Leaving them until spring will not only cause more work but can actually damage your pool. You should also clean your solar blanket and any filters with chemical cleaners, not just water.
