How to Install a Dehumidifier


One common way to keep dampness out of your basement is by using a dehumidifier. If you have a sump pump in your basement you can still use a dehumidifier to pull dampness out and direct it into the sump also. There are two common mistakes made when installing a dehumidifier. One is making sure the hose goes down hill and is not kinked or curved. This helps gravity to force the water out the hose. The other common mistake is leveling.
